Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Fox Systems Limited (“Fox Systems”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in Hong Kong, collects, uses and protects your personal information when you use:

  • our website, chile-vpn.com (the “Site”);
  • our Chile VPN service (the “Service”); and
  • our mobile applications — the VPN Player app for iOS and our Android app (the “Apps”).

Fox Systems Limited is the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

The short version

  • We collect the minimum needed to run a subscription VPN service: your email address, account credentials and billing information.
  • We do not log, monitor, record or store your VPN activity. No browsing history, no traffic data, no DNS queries, no connection logs.
  • We never sell your personal information, and we never use or disclose your VPN usage to third parties for any purpose.
  • Payment card details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
  • You can request a copy of your data, or ask us to delete it, at any time — see “Your rights and choices” below.

Information we collect

Account and billing information. When you create an account or subscribe, we collect your name, email address, a password (stored in hashed form), your country, and your subscription details (plan, price, renewal dates and transaction history). Payments are processed by Stripe (and, for some legacy subscriptions, PayPal); your card details are transmitted directly to the payment processor and we do not store full card numbers.

VPN usage — what we do NOT collect. We operate a no-logs Service. We do not collect or store:

  • your browsing or connection history;
  • the websites, apps or services you access through the VPN;
  • traffic content, destinations or DNS queries;
  • individual connection timestamps or session logs.

We know that you hold an active subscription — not what you do with it.

App information. The Apps collect only what is needed to sign you in and run the VPN connection: your login credentials and basic device and VPN configuration settings. The Apps contain no third-party advertising or tracking SDKs. On iOS, the App uses Apple’s built-in VPN framework to manage the connection.

Website visit information. Like most websites, our Site uses cookies and similar technologies to collect device information (browser type, IP address, time zone, pages viewed, referring site) for the purposes described below. This applies to your visits to the Site only — never to your use of the VPN Service.

Support communications. If you contact support, we keep the correspondence and any details you choose to share so we can help you.

How we use your information

  • To provide the Service: creating and managing your account, authenticating the Apps, processing subscriptions and renewals, and providing customer support.
  • To operate and improve the Site: website analytics (Google Analytics), screening orders for fraud, and measuring our own marketing (for example, Google Ads conversion tracking). These tools apply to Site visits only — never to VPN usage.
  • To communicate with you: service messages such as receipts, renewal notices and important changes, and — where permitted — marketing emails about our products, from which you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email.
  • To comply with legal, accounting and tax obligations.

Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of our contract with you (account, billing, support); our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving the Site, and marketing to existing customers); your consent where required (for example, non-essential cookies); and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

Sharing your information

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only what they need:

  • Stripe (and PayPal, for legacy subscriptions) — payment processing;
  • Google — website analytics and advertising measurement, for the Site only;
  • our website hosting and email service providers.

Each provider is permitted to use your information only to provide services to us and is required to protect it to at least the standard described in this policy. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share VPN usage data with anyone — we hold none to share.

If required by law, court order or other lawful request, we may disclose the account and billing information we hold. Because we keep no logs of VPN activity, we have no browsing or connection history to produce in response to any such request.

Cookies and advertising

The Site uses cookies for essential functions, analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, and manage ad personalisation at optout.aboutads.info. None of this affects the VPN Service, which carries no advertising or tracking.

Data retention

  • Account data: kept while your subscription is active, then deleted or anonymised within 12 months of account closure, except where we are required to keep it longer.
  • Billing and transaction records: kept for up to 7 years to meet accounting and tax obligations.
  • Support correspondence: kept for up to 24 months after your issue is resolved.
  • VPN activity data: none is collected, so none is retained.

Your rights and choices

You can ask us at any time to: access a copy of the personal information we hold about you; correct it; delete your account and personal information; restrict or object to our processing; or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@chile-vpn.com from your account email address and we will respond within 30 days.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To stop marketing emails, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact support.

International transfers

We are a Hong Kong company, and our VPN servers are located in the United Kingdom. Your account information may therefore be processed outside your home country, including outside the EEA and the UK. Where we transfer data internationally, we apply appropriate safeguards and share only the minimum necessary with the providers listed above.

Children

Our Site, Service and Apps are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available on this page, with the date of the most recent update shown at the top. If we make material changes, we will notify subscribers by email.
